My wife purchased a pair of boots for me from this company in December 2012. Having worn the boots for about 8 months I noticed a split on one of the boots, on the leather just above the heel. I took the boots to be repaired and was advised that they could not be repaired and that I was best advised to contact the seller for a refund.I contacted the Shoe Library by email and after receiving no response gave them a call and was informed that someone would call me back. After getting no call back I called once again and was advised that an email had been sent, which basically said that there would be no refund as 8 months was too long a period to consider a refund. When I explained that I expected a pair of shoes to last a lot longer than 8 months I was accused of 'gobbing it off' down the phone by the person I was speaking to. On realising that I was not going to get any satisfactory response I tried to obtain the details of the company who manufactured the boot in order to contact them direct and was given the name of the manufacturer and told in no uncertain terms to 'google it'. The call was then abruptly ended by the other person.Having contacted who I was advised was the manufacturer I was informed that they did not, in fact, manufacture the boot and was provided with the correct company details.I would definitely not use this company to purchase from as they clearly have no problem selling faulty products and show no willingness to assist when contacted regarding this. In addition, the staff member I spoke to was rude and unable to discuss any issues that I had and was clearly unaware of their suppliers' details when requestedI am unaware of the position of the staff member I spoke to (named Dan) and do not know if he is in a position of authority or not. However, if I was the owner of this company I would not be happy with this individual dealing with customers in such a manner, to the point that it could harm the business.I would definitely not recommend this company.
