If you're thinking of buying a holiday home here, don't! Petty minded, apathetic and rude site owners that have no idea of customer service, luckily I found out just before parting with cash but caveat emptor.
Terrible service, I phoned 2 hours in advance to ask about a site booking. She was polite over the phone and asked the size of my vehicle so I told her exactly what vehicle I was driving ( a self converted camper van). She was happy the pitch was booked. When I arrived onsite (after a 1 hour drive) there was no one at reception so I stood around for 20 mins until I eventually called them and they came to meet me. Once she arrived at reception I was told my van wasnt aloud on there site because it was too van like despite the fact she hadnt even been down to the gate to look at it. I think she needs a lesson in advertising and manners.
OK, we needed somewhere to camp at the last minute and this site was nearest. Points detracted as their laundry was the most expensive I'd used on a site in the country (6 a wash) and dryer too, which didn't dry the cycling kit
We've been coming to this site for 15 years. It's a tranquil oasis in the middle of Cornwall, easily accessible and within a short distance of the wonderful north and south coasts. There are two shower blocks and facilities are spotlessly clean - regularly attended to throughout the day. The site is nicely landscaped and all pitches are of a very generous size. The owners are friendly and helpful and allow their guests to enjoy a peaceful holiday.
We have just spent 4 nights here in a touring caravan. Most definitely not what we are looking for and used to. Reception was closed all the time we were there. There are no hooks at all in the washing area or toilets. Window ledges are even slanted so you can't put anything down. Only 2 very tight showers unless you use the unisex .Pot washing is adjacent to WC emptying point. The Park is very tidy and bus route outside is excellent.
