My history and experiences with Hawkins Motors goes back to 1976 - a well established family business here in Cornwall. Hawkins Motors, still run by the family has extended to covering several of the main manufacturer dealerships. Living near Truro and having a Hyundai Santa Fe - I deal with the Blackwater garage, where under Nick Jaye, a dedicated group of people provide a very professional service at very reasonable prices.. Today my visit was to replace a sidelight bulb - sounds simple, but not easily accessible, and needing "professional fingers". I telephoned yesterday evening, was told what time to attend today - the vehicle was in the workshop for about 45 minutes, and returned to me having been washed and valeted inside and out. I was charged 1.50 + vat (price of the bulb) fitted FOC ! Beat that ! I have no hesitation to recommend Hawkins Motors. Very nice people to deal with !
car we got was great but after sales care there is none we have been waiting since september for a chip stick for some marks that were on car when we got it have emailed and phoned a number of times always same answer sorry we forgot but never get back to you this brings what is a very good dealership down in my eyes

The service for the vehicle it self was good, the couresty car was essential as not to waste the day waiting for the service to be completed.However the car went in with an intermittent engine fault showing, the fault code was p2137 which is something to do with the throttle pedal. This has to be cleared other wise the car can't be driven as it has no power, they were aliitle unclear about the possible causes of this fault, ranging from a new throttle pedal, to needing a new ECU, and the range in price accordingly. But before any repairs could be carried out more investigation was needed at around 89.00 plus vat per hour.Along with the service the car went in for it's MOT, it pasted with no advisory, but why are wind screen wipers so expensive 29,00 (with a discount) when you can get some from a car repair outlet beginning with H for less than 15 fitted car, don't understand .
Great garage offering good quality used cars also selling brand new vehicles. The staff are good and ready to help with any advice where needed. 1st class all the way around.
